Now a little about me:

I'm a long time SCAdian. I was a member of House Bloodguard for 13 years and was once belted by Duke Andreas der Eisfalke.

I moved to England for 4 years and became the SCA Champion of the Isles 3 out of 4 years I was there. Upon my return to the USA, I left Bloodguard and joined the Circle.

The Circle was my home for just over 3 years and I LOVE those guys. However I recently left them to pursue other interests and do my own thing for a while. The Circle is an SCA and Markland household, and I continue participating in both organizations. I was Knighted in Markland 3 years ago, and now my sites are set on again being squired and eventually being Knighted in the SCA. I figure as long as my hobby continues to be fun, and not like work I will stick it out.
Once a household becomes more of a job.... I'm out.

For those of you who really don't know me, or only met me briefly, my name is Chris. I spell it Xris simply so you can find me in your cell phone because let's face it. How many Chris' do you know? I'm a pretty down to earth kind of guys, I'm likable, even lovable if you take the time to get to know me. I'm feeling somewhat reflective tonight, which happens on occasion so please bear with me.

I'm alot older than I look, which tends to sometimes confound and confuse even me at times. Women my age think I'm too young, and women too young..... well they are just too young. I have a lot of female friends younger than me, because for some reason they actually take the time to know me. How many of you women in your mid to late 20's spend time talking to a guy in a bar who looks 5-8 years younger than you are? Exactly.....

I hate saying how old I am, since I feel 19, look 22-24, and have walked this earth for ** years. I have spent 9 years in the US Air Force, which I have been out of for almost 3 years now. I have to say that I loved it, I have been all over the world. Lived and fought in foreign lands and loved every minute of it (well maybe not every minute). I am an Avionics Engineer, I can troubleshoot, repair, modify and design many of the computer and sensor systems on airplanes and helicopters in the US Military arsenal. I have until recently worked as a "civilian" for the US Miitary doing exactly that. I'm currently in the Army National Guard. Now everybody keeps telling me not to do it, and to get out, but those that know me most know I must. I have an adventurers spirit and a warriors soul. I need to risk everything to protect those who can't do it themselves, I do it in every aspect of my life. I live by old rules, though I don't push them on anybody I ask not to be questioned or ridiculed when I take a stand on something you feel is trivial.

I love being social, meeting people and making new friends. I like to be the life of the party and I have quite a sharp sense of humor in the sense that I'm quick to make a comment, be sarcastic or completely humiliate myself for a laugh if the timing is right. I'm soft spoken but not quite, peirced and have a few Tattoos (Sleeve in progress).

I like to consider myself something of a scholar, I love to read and learn. The more obscure the content, or idea the more I want to know about it. I love ancient and medieval history among other things, and I fight in full contact medieval tournaments. I also love studing and understanding various cultures. I have met some of the most generous and friendly people in otherwise hostile environments. US propaganda means nothing when you are there. I love the Arab nations, they are full of generous and friendly people, you only hear and read about the fanatics and the zealots. Much like this country. I destroy racism and bigotry when I find it, I have seen to much of this world to let ignorance contaminate me.

Music is also one of my great joys, going to shows, or clubs just to hear the latest of a genre is one of my favorite past times. Due to that I tend to have the hook up in alot of places especially in New Jersey, being on the permanent guest list at several major venues and frequently taking my friends to meet their favorite bands.
